About Jeff

Jeff "Old School" Wagner has been a part of the SideFX Software support team from the early days of PRISMS leading up to today's Houdini. Over the years he has accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge and insight and is regarded by many as a true Houdini Guru. If you've encountered him online or watched one of the tutorials then now is the opportunity to meet him in person.

Side Effects Software is the developer of Houdini, a node-based procedural animation and visual effects software used in film, commercials and video games. Side Effects Software has been recognized three times with Scientific and Technical awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Houdini is used by numerous leading digital content creation facilities including: DreamWorks Animation, Electronic Arts, Blizzard Entertainment, Double Negative, Dreamworks Animation, Naughty Dog, Blue Sky Studios, Guerrilla Games, Sucker Punch Productions, Insomniac Games, Pixar Animation Studios and Sony Pictures Imageworks.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
