Franck Lambertz, Mikros MPC Advertising, Creative Director, VFX Supervisor


During his 20+ year experience in the entertainment industry, Franck Lambertz has worked across international feature films and commercials various positions in content creation as a Flame/nuke artist, VFX Supervisor as well as Creative Director.

He is frequently hand-selected by high profile directors including Adam Berg, François Rousselet, Traktor, Joe Wright, Rupert Sanders, Patrick Daughters and Fredrik Bond for his stunning aesthetic.

Franck learned the ropes on feature films like Sin City, Spykids, Art of War to name a few. In 2005, he joined MPC Group and led a team of 2D VFX artists on a host of epic projects, including Samsung ‘King of TV City,’ Ubisoft ‘Assassins Creed, Black Flag: Defy’, Lexus ‘Strobe’ and Nike ‘Play Russian.’

In 2008, Franck was selected to spearhead the launch of our Los Angeles studio. He was also instrumental in the launch of the Amsterdam studio in 2013; and as of 2015, he has been leading the Mikros MPC studio in Paris as Creative Director and VFX Supervisor.

Franck’s work on ‘Assassins Creed, Black Flag: Defy’ received a Gold Cannes Lion for VFX in Film Craft in 2014. His work on DIRECTV has garnered him a host of industry accolades, with ‘Hot House’ winning Best VFX at the AICP Awards; a Silver Clio for Best VFX; and a Gold at Ciclope. And ‘Robot’ was named a finalist at the British Arrows Craft Awards, Gold at the AICP Awards and received a VES nomination for Best VFX. Since he joined the Paris studio, Franck has worked on international brands as well as on iconic French brands such as Perrier, Samsung, Chanel, Cartier, Paco Rabanne, Renault, Citroen.

Since 2018, he also co-chairs the Visual Effects Society in France.


FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
