The Love, Death & Robots Netflix animation anthology by Tim Miller and David Fincher united animation studios from all over the world, to create episodes with different visual and animation styles. Digic Pictures worked on two of the short stories in the series, using some of the latest Arnold technology (HtoA) to create complex environments and strange characters.
Szabolcs Horvátth is the Chief Technology Officer of Digic Pictures. His background is in feature film VFX, commercials and high end game cinematics, and he joined Digic Pictures in 2004.
He has worked in lots of different areas over the years: character and effect setups, hair modelling and simulation, writing and designing shaders, plugins and pipeline tools. He worked on high profile shows at Digic including: Assassin’s Creed, Mass Effect 3, Halo 4, Call of Duty, The Witcher, Final Fantasy Kingsglaive, League of Legends, and lately two episodes of the Love, Death and Robots animation anthology. Szabolcs also leads and participates in the development of CG and pipeline tools used in the studio.
