Tina Ohnmacht, Project Consultant, Animationsinstitut / Animation Sans Frontières

Tina Ohnmacht is currently working as a freelance teacher and project co-ordinator for the Animationsinstitut at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. There, she teaches History of Animation Film and is responsible for the supervision of the animation diploma films. After her studies of literature, film & media at the University of Konstanz, Tina worked at the Baden-Württemberg regional film fund MFG. In 2002, she joined the newly founded Animationsinstitut of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, first as a teaching assistant, then as Curriculum Supervisor, taking charge of all the guest teachers. Since 2008, Tina has been managing the EU supported international training Animation Sans Frontières which Filmakademie organises together with three other European Animation schools. Within the past ten years, Animation Sans Frontières has developed into one of the most successful European professional training programmes. In her spare time, Tina works on a PhD thesis project on the topic “Water in Animation Films” at the Institute of Media Studies of Universität Tübingen.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
