Karen Dufilho, Executive Producer, Google
Karen Dufilho is the award-winning Executive Producer at Google where she was instrumental in introducing immersive, narrative content with the creation of Google Spotlight Stories. These efforts have resulted in a body of original, creator-driven immersive experiences that explore new questions of storyteller and audience. Most recently, Karen is the Executive Producer on Google’s upcoming short Age of Sail, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Karen is Executive Producer of Google’s first ever VR/360, Emmy nominated Google Doodle, Back to the Moon, along with Emmy nominated Son of Jaguar and Emmy winning Pearl -- Pearl the first VR short to be recognized with an Oscar nomination. In 2016, Karen joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and is an active member of Women in Animation.
Cultivating a network of renowned animation talent, Karen founded House of K where she garners the best of the industry’s unique and premier voices for emerging tech and traditional cinema. Clients include: Google, Paramount, Sony, On Entertainment, Motorola, Rovio, Laika, Disney, and Locksmith Animation.
A Pixar-alum, Karen was the producer of Academy & Annie Award-winning short films For the Birds and Geri’s Game, where she helmed the Shorts Division overseeing A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc. franchise production efforts.
Karen has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, Wired, Medium, Mashable, Variety and Hollywood Reporter, and at festivals and conferences around the world including SXSW, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, AFI Fest, Siggraph, The View Conference, and Annecy International Animation Festival.
In 2018, Karen was honored with Advanced Imaging Society Distinguished Leadership Award.
