Fiona is Global Managing Director, Film, at Framestore, a creative studio bringing extraordinary ideas to life in any space or screen through craft, imagination and technology. Rising through the ranks across her 20+ year tenure at the company, accruing a raft of major industry awards along the way, Fiona plays a pivotal role in the development and long-term strategy of Framestore’s film division, helping maintain the company’s position at the forefront of the VFX industry.

She is also an important role model in the industry, championing inclusivity and diversity both at Framestore and across the wider industry. Founded in London's Soho in 1986, Framestore is now home to a team of over 2,500 who work across facilities in London, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Montréal, Pune and Beijing. Film at Framestore was once a team of just three; today, an international team of the best industry talent works across 15+ tentpole movies each year, partnering creatively with the world’s most influential film studios.

Fiona’s background in VFX production equips her with an innate understanding of her artists’ challenges - her own credit list having landed several Emmy Awards, for game-changing work in VFX. By the early 2000s she was at the helm of large-scale projects such as Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, moving to become Executive Producer of Gravity, one of Framestore’s most complex pictures to date. Gravity also brought with it an Academy Award, the first of three under Fiona’s stewardship, including 2017’s Blade Runner 2049.

Fiona has built, and upholds, a strong network of connections across the industry, working with some of the greatest creative minds and most renowned intellectual properties in the business. Framestore was proud to celebrate ten years of the Marvel Universe in 2018, having worked extensively across titles under its umbrella, and continues to work on J.K. Rowling’s magical world, through the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Framestore’s involvement in initiatives such as ACCESS: VFX to open access points for all - also helps to ensure a bright future for the film industry.
