Alessandro Cioffi

Architect, designer and illustrator, Alessandro Cioffi has built his twenty years VFX expertise working between the UK, Germany and Italy. He joined TRIXTER in 2007 as Compositing Supervisor, bringing with him a talent for team leading, as well as strong artistic skills and a keen eye. Alessandro took on the VFX Supervision of several recent Marvel's production as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Age of Ultron, as well as more important productions like Pixels, White House Down, Cloud Atlas.

TRIXTER is a company where not only iconic Marvel characters like Iron Man, Black Panther, Rocket and Baby Groot are brought to life, but also a breathtaking variety of animals, from an ant to an elephant to a magical dragon. The international team of artists teaches them how to run, swim, fly or whatever the project requires, creating believable characters that live on the screen, interacting seamlessly with their human co-stars. TRIXTER also gives them their environments, whether it be a set extension or a completely virtual world, from a classic matte painting to a fully CG forest to a bustling city and everything in between, employing various complex effects from water to fire or smoke.

Founded two decades ago by Simone Kraus and Michael Coldewey, TRIXTER is one of Germany`s leading VFX studios, creating stunning high end VFX work and character animation for film and television. At the leading edge of the industry, employing computer scientists, film aficionados and incredibly talented artists, TRIXTER is always pushing the boundaries and is currently developing content and technical solutions for VR and 360°.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
