Michael Huber

Michael Huber started his career in visual effects in 1998. After studying film-philology at the University of Munich, he worked as a digital compositor and compositing supervisor. In 2003 he started to work as VFX Supervisor for countless commercials and feature films. In 2009 he joined D-Facto Motion in Munich as VFX Supervisor, supervising TV features like the german children's film "Nils Holgersson's wonderful Journey".

In 2012, he moved to New York and founded east side effects, Inc. together with his partner Alex Lemke and worked on several feature films as VFX Supervisor and Artist.

Titles include: "Creed", "Into the Woods", "American Ultra", "A Most Violent Year"

east side effects, Inc. is a boutique visual effects shop located in New York City, specializing in visual effects supervision and creation for Film and Video.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
