Andrew Cochrane

Andrew Cochrane is a Digital and Interactive Director for Mirada – an independent creative studio. Many of his projects involve Mirada’s exciting digital/interactive group, which focuses on combining the company’s passion for storytelling with new forms of immersion and interaction.

Some of his recent credits include directing the Google Shop VR tour, the intro for the Google Jump platform, a real-time interactive dance performance for Intel, and a commercial for the Barco Escape theater system featuring M&Ms.

Andrew also oversaw the technical aspects of The Strain VR, an immersive cinema 4D experience that was released at Comic-Con 2015, and VR experiences for GE, and Michigan Football.

Mirada is a studio designed for storytellers. Founded by filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, Mirada is equal parts design studio, visual effects & animation facility, creative & technology incubator, development and production company. Mirada opened in 2010 with narrative tradition at its heart and technological innovation as its engine.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH.
