Program 2013

Pierre Leduc

For the past 4 years, Pierre Leduc has worked at Illumination Mac Guff as an Animation Director on the feature film Despicable Me 2, and as an Animation Lead on feature films Despicable Me and The Lorax.

After graduating high school in 1999, Pierre Leduc entered the animation section of the EICAR film school in Paris, where he first studied stop motion.  He then studied at prestigious Les Gobelins school in Paris, and obtained his CG animation diploma in 2002.
Having worked on various television series and commercials, he then went to Toronto in 2004 to work as a Character Animator on the feature film The Wild. Back in Paris, he served as Animation Lead on the feature film Dragon Hunters and moved on to Ho Chi Minh City to work as Animation Lead on the feature film Igor. He has been working at Illumination Mac Guff since late 2008.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
