Concept Art Exhibition: Opening Reception

“Concept Art, Preproduction and Design in the Entertainment Industry”
Opening Reception: April 22, 6pm, Foyer Haus der Wirtschaft

Vision, inspiration, first sketch, visual guide and much more: Concept Art occupies various specific positions in the entertainment industry. With 30 art pieces from 15 international digital artists such as Harald Belker, Virginie Bourdin, Paul Chadeisson, Uwe Heidschoetter, Maciej Kuciara, Tobias Mannewitz, Paperblue, Peter Popken, Christian Lorenz Scheurer or Thomas Scholes, the exhibition sheds light on an art form that is rarely shown publicly.

Catch a glimpse into the creation process of the stories that fascinate us in films, games and comics!

The exhibition is curated by JinHo Jeon and Bin-Han To and organized by the Design Center as part of its Ein()Sichten series.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
