Jeanette Bonds, Director/ Co-Founder, Glas Animation

Jeanette Bonds is a Panamanian-American filmmaker living and working in Los Angeles. She received her BFA and her MFA at CalArts in Film & Video in Experimental Animation. Jeanette is the Co-Founder and Director of GLAS Animation, a non-profit organization dedicated to championing independent animation. She was the animation producer for David Gilmour's 'Girl in the Yellow Dress' directed by SXSW award-winning filmmaker Danny Madden, she directed visuals for Nick Thornburn (Islands, Unicorns) music tour for his solo album City of Quartz, as well as the music video for Kid 606’s 'B Minor.' She is currently a director and producer at B&B Pictures, a new production company founded with her longtime collaborator Sean Buckelew. Jeanette is a part of the international animation collective Late Night Work Club, on the board of directors of ASIFA-Hollywood, on the advisory committee for LatinX in Animation, a programmer at Slamdance Film Festival, and on the programming board for FMX. In the past she has worked with LA Film Festival, Glamour Magazine, and Short of the Week. She is currently directing two animated short films with FX Networks and is producing DRONE, an animated short directed by Sean Buckelew.
