User Participation, Global Production and the New Challenges industries are facing will be addressed at this year’s FMX.
Digital interactive technologies have not only affected the film industry but also consumer products.  Program Chair, Jean-Michel Blottière comments on this year's program: "I'm very proud to be in charge of the FMX program this year, this is an honour and a huge responsibility! This year we would like to harness the extraordinary creativity from the digital industries to present the most exciting themes. We will focus on technical issues such as previz and editing in 3D; how open source can influence the industry; focus on lighting; interactive software and technology. We have a few special surprises in the pipeline!" FMX gratefully acknowledges the support from our Advisory Board members.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH.
