One of the main focuses of FMX is to showcase talent. This year, for the first time, FMX will present European talent participating in the Animation Production Days (APD), as well as regional alumni from last year's Talent Meet Up BW programmes. The creators of these highly promising European projects will join us on stage. These short pitches provide an overview of upcoming productions and offer a unique opportunity to meet tomorrow's industry pioneers and learn about their approach to content, style and technique.

For many years, the Animation Production Days (APD) Talent programme has been supporting young European producers and creatives in the field of animation who aspire to bring their own project ideas to life. The aim is to bring young professionals into contact with established industry experts. Through pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings, talents receive valuable feedback on their projects and have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to potential co-production and financing partners.
The TALENT Meet-up BW programme selects a group of highly skilled young professionals from the cultural and creative industries in the region to take part in Stuttgart Animated Week. Participants receive a unique mentoring and support programme surrounding FMX and ITFS, organised by MFG Baden-Württemberg, Animation Media Creators Region Stuttgart (AMCRS), Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart (WRS), Film Commission Region Stuttgart, Wirtschaftsförderung Stadt Stuttgart, and the Animationsinstitut of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
