The VFX industry is an ever-evolving industry shaped by technological advancements and economic factors. It’s also shaped by a somewhat unique business model and client relationships. 

This panel brings together VFX leaders to discuss the unique opportunities and challenges within their regions.

Panelists will provide insights into:

  3. Strategies for maintaining and developing project pipelines and production efficiencies

By the end of the discussion, attendees will gain a current snapshot of how VFX businesses operate worldwide, how different regions contribute to the global industry, and what the future holds (and needs) for visual effects to thrive.

 

Kaitlyn Beattie, Executive VFX Producer, Vine FX

With a career spanning production and post-production, Kaitlyn began in non-fiction, working in wildlife documentary production before transitioning into post-production with a focus on visual effects. For the past six years, Kaitlyn has been a key part of Vine FX’s production team, joining when the company was a small team playing an instrumental role in its growth and success. Now serving as Executive Producer, Kaitlyn has overseen the successful delivery of VFX for a number of high-profile productions, including The Rig Season 2, Enola Holmes 3, The Witcher Seasons 3 and 4, and The Lazarus Project.Vine FX's work on The Lazarus Project contributed to winning the prestigious RTS Award for Best VFX Craft in 2022, highlighting a continued commitment to excellence in visual storytelling and production leadership

Christina Caspers, Executive Producer Cinesite Group & General Manager Trixter, TRIXTER GmbH

Christina works as General Manager at TRIXTER & Executive Producer of the Cinesite Group. TRIXTER is one of the leading VFX studios in Europe and part of the Cinesite Group. With her team, Christina works primarily for international clients, as well as large scale streaming service providers. In her position, Christina is responsible for the day-to-day business across all ongoing and potential new productions from acquisition to final delivery. As technology in the film and especially post-production industry continues to evolve at an ever increasing speed, and audience watching habits change as well, the use of the most current technology is absolutely essential in order to be at the highest industry standard not only budget-wise but creatively as well. At TRIXTER, Christina is responsible for the evaluation of these latest technologies and their tailored application to each project. Additionally, she serves on the Advisory Board of TechX, Cinesite’s dedicated unit for exploring Generative AI technology.

In addition to her work at Cinesite, Christina is co-founder of IIM (Institute of Immersive Media), an NGO that brings together the creative and technical aspects of film shooting, pre- and post-production in workshops and at film festivals.

Hayley Miller, Founder, World VFX Day

Hayley Miller is the Founder of World VFX Day, a global initiative launched in 2023 to champion the visual effects and animation industries and drive meaningful, lasting change. Held annually on 8 December via a YouTube livestream, World VFX Day is supported by more than 460 studios and companies, alongside thousands of individual professionals, students and industry fans worldwide.

With over 14 years of experience in marketing and communications, Hayley has worked across the entertainment and technology sectors, spanning cinema, live events, music, and film and television. Since 2019, she has specialised in visual effects and animation, holding roles at leading studios including Pixomondo, MPC/Technicolor Studios, and Territory Studio. Hayley is also the Founder of Work of Mind, a boutique consultancy focused on marketing and PR for the entertainment and technology industries.  

Lorna Reaoch, Producer, Halon Entertainment

Lorna is a Producer across Animation, Games, and VFX, with a career spanning some of the biggest names in the industry. She’s brought her creative and production expertise to major titles like Fortnite, Gears of War, and the BAFTA-winning animated anthology Love, Death & Robots. From cinematic game trailers to TV series and feature films, Lorna has played a key role in delivering visually stunning, story-driven content across multiple platforms.

Elena Topouzoglou, VFX Producer & Partner, Stardust Effects

Elena Topouzoglou is a VFX Producer, Supervisor, and Partner at Stardust Effects. With over 20 years of experience delivering high-end visual effects for film and TV, she has spent the last three years expanding Stardust into an award-winning international studio with offices in Athens and Oslo. Known for being a passionate and supportive leader, Elena is highly regarded by clients and her team alike for her commitment to both the craft and the people behind it.
