Award-winning Cinematographer Dave Alex Riddett BSC will take the audience behind the scenes of 40 years cinematography at Aardman Animation, revealing the practical skills and intricate understanding that a Cinematographer requires to bring magic to the world of Stop Frame Storytelling.

Dave Alex Riddett BSC is an Award-Winning Cinematographer and a pioneer in the world of stop motion animation, who has been creating beautiful cinematic images since the earliest days of Aardman.

From acting as senior Director of Photography on ‘Chicken Run’, Aardman’s first feature film, Dave’s work includes the Oscar winning films ‘Curse of the Were-Rabbit’ and 'The Wrong Trousers', as well as ‘A Close Shave', ‘A Matter of Loaf and Death’, ‘Early Man’ , 'Shaun the Sheep', and countless other Wallace and Gromit movies, shorts, commercials, and Idents.

His latest film 'Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl' received 48 nominations and 7 awards including two BAFTA awards. Dave is currently working on his next project.

Sara has worked within the Creative Industries for over twenty years at international level, across business, creative and technical roles. Catalyst of creative-led, highly ambitious innovation, she has enabled substantial research within the Industry and the Academia, established long-term international collaborations and secured financial backing from private entities, EU and UK public funding programmes.

Sara acts as an expert adviser to private organisations, public funding authorities and governmental bodies, fostering strategies that deliver better policies, sector financial investment and increasing support to innovators. 

At Cooke Optics, Sara focuses on long-term innovation goals, enabling research on cutting-edge technologies to empower future storytellers and their collaboration.
