Join us for a deep dive into ZEISS’ newest technology in development and learn more about the importance of lens effects and their influence on a cinematic image.
Discover how ZEISS as a lens manufacturer leverages its unique heritage in optics to offer an innovative approach for artists enhancing VFX projects, tackling the time-consuming hurdles of achieving physically correct and cinematically aesthetic lens behavior. In the digital world, lens characteristics are often still seen as separate and obligatory elements, rather than crucial design choices that add atmosphere or a certain expression to the image. The lenses chosen by the director of photography before the shoot ultimately define the final look of the visual effects. With this in mind, our focus lies on reshaping the way how digital artists work with lenses. Through a 1-click solution approach we provide access to digital lenses, that bring physical lens behavior of real lenses to the digital world of compositing, giving artists the possibility to choose from a digital shelf, just like the DP does at a camera rental. Moreover, not being restricted to ZEISS lenses, we highlight the option to freely create any lens look and introduce more add-ons to deliver stunning results.
