Under the headline "Production in a Team",  Animation and Interactive Media students of the Animationsinstitut at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg are producing either a short film or a game experience  each based on a stylistically individual world. These technically innovative projects are produced within four months.

Application deadline for courses starting in fall is February 15 each year. International students are welcome! For more information please go to animationsinstitut.de

This year´s projects are:

Dinnertime, Mixed Media

Daniel Almagor (Directing), Bilal Yigit Inal (Directing), Lena Hohm (Animation Effects Producing), Marie Römer (2D Animation), Karl Will (3D Animation), Lasse Falk (3D Animation), Kira Vogt (Technical Directing), Haiyang Liu (3D Animation)

When the lively Meg, the interstellar being Gubi Wubi, and the drowsy Professor Sachertorte host a dinner party, their worlds collide – but it’s precisely their differences that promise a one-of-a-kind (flavor) experience!

Lichtung, VR Experience

Aria Wolf (Directing), Janina Zlotos (Assistant Director & Level Design), Cyril Fischer (Transmedia Games Producing), Christoph Mohr (Animation Effects Producing), Sam Matsa (Game Design), Jakob Bock (Technical Directing), Maksym Gontov & Vadims Ivanovs (Animation)

You enter a calm yet unfamiliar world, lying dormant as you arrive. As you explore its surroundings, the world gradually opens up, revealing its light. The more you engage with it, the more you become enveloped in a soothing yet lively awakening, full of surprises.

Key, 2D Animation

Katrin Merdian & Chaerin Yoo (Directing)

What’s behind the door? Only one way to find out.
