Gurwal Coïc-Gallas, Sound Designer and Supervising Sound Editor
As a teenager, Gurwal discovered a profession - sound design - that combined his two passions: radio drama and cinema. After graduating from the Louis Lumière film school in Paris, he was fortunate enough to become the assistant to one of France's most respected sound designers, Jean Goudier. As a supervisor sound editor, he was able to collaborate with directors from a wide range of backgrounds, on big-budget films as well as more intimate ones. Gradually, he built up a very eclectic filmography. His work has won a number of awards in France and all around the world including a special mention for best sound design at the last Cannes Film Festival. Film after film, Gurwal strives to connect with the audience and create emotional and surprising experiences through sound design.
