Gabriela Hernandez, Technical Supervisor, Walt Disney Animation Studios

GABRIELA HERNANDEZ (Technical Supervisor) joined Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2013 as a technical director trainee in the Talent Development Program. She was an assistant technical director on “Big Hero 6” and a technical director on “Zootopia,” “Vaiana,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” and “Encanto.” Hernandez also led teams as associate technical supervisor on “Raya and the Last Dragon,” technical supervisor on Disney+ series “Iwájú” and most recently was technical supervisor of “Vaiana 2.”  Hernandez was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and grew up in the Bronx, New York. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Fordham University.

Emily Sison

Emily Sison, Associate Technical Supervisor, Walt Disney Animation Studios

Emily Sison joined Walt Disney Animation Studios in Vancouver in 2022 as an Associate Technical Supervisor on “Vaiana 2.” Born and raised in San Francisco, Calif. she attended the University of California Davis to study computer science with a minor in film. Sison graduated and worked at Pixar Animation Studios, Digital Domain and Method Studios, adding visual effects in films like “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “The Fate of the Furious,” and “Men in Black: International” among her credits. In her current role at Disney Animation, Sison partners with the technical supervisor to oversee the production pipeline and ensure the collaboration between art and technology by developing tools and workflows that optimize the creative process.
