David studied Industrial Design at the Lisbon Faculty of Fine Arts where he discovered a passion for 3D and computer graphics, went on to work as a 3D artist in 2007, and eventually landed in Stuttgart at Accenture Song #VFX in 2015 as a generalist senior 3D artist and stepped up to CG Supervisor in 2018 where he supervised projects like Stranger Things, Foundation, Lost in Space, Watchmen, Star Trek: Discovery and Shadow and Bone.  

Albena Ivanova, Director M&E and Strategic Products at Chaos, Chaos

Albena has almost two decades of experience in the IT and entertainment industry and currently serves as the leader of the Chaos M&E team. She focuses on exploring and researching industry trends to equip established and novice artists around the globe with the right tools to visualize anything imaginable.

 

Oliver Markowski, CPO & Head of 3D at RISE | Visual Effects Studios, RISE | Visual Effects Studios

Oliver Markowski became the Head of 3D at RISE | Visual Effects Studios in 2020 after successfully delivering the full-CG animated feature Dragonrider as a VFX supervisor. Before joining the RISE team, Oliver previously worked as a Freelancer for notable companies including Scanline, Trixter, Mackevision and Framestore. Oliver is a dedicated innovator, exemplified by his custom-built light-stage for facial scanning. His recent research demonstrates expertise in Gaussian Splatting and the application of Machine Learning for cutting-edge visual effects development.

 

Bob White, Head of CG at Digital Domain, Digital Domain

Bob White is currently the Head of CG at Digital Domain but he has been part of Vancouver's VFX and animation scene for more than 20 years. For the last decade, he's been CG Supervising on high-end projects such as Thor: Ragnarok, Freeguy, Stranger Things, and Secret Invasion and ensuring top-notch visual effects with his teams. Bob's main goal is to streamline processes while striving for the highest-quality results possible. He's been using V-Ray since its earliest iterations and at Digital Domain, Bob has been instrumental in modernizing their lighting pipeline using V-Ray in Solaris.
