In recent years, our industries have faced significant challenges and disruptions, with more changes on the horizon. The restructuring of the production landscape, the integration of AI, layoffs, and shifts in budgetary dynamics compel Animation, VFX, and Games professionals to continuously adapt, learn, and evolve while maintaining their mental and physical well-being. Also, many still encounter obstacles and adverse circumstances with regard to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Professional coaches and mentors play an integral role in individual professional development. Connecting ideas and people has become more crucial than ever. How do coaches & mentors approach the pressing topics or our times? What techniques help them to face the challenges themselves? Where do they, as professionals or volunteers, need support and brainstorm ideas? 

The Coaches & Mentor Meetup is dedicated to fostering an open dialogue aimed at identifying solutions, providing support, and facilitating networking opportunities to aid one another in mentoring and coaching endeavors. It is an opportunity for coaches, mentors, and professionals focusing on people development from visual effects, animation, and games to discuss opportunities and challenges in our industries in a closed-door atmosphere.

The Coaches & Mentors Meetup is facilitated by Imke Fehrmann, WIA Mentor Coach and Global Head of Production at Rise Visual Effects Studios and is supported by WIA - Women in Animation and the Animation Association Germany / ASIFA Germany.
