Join FX supervisor, Chris Messineo, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the making of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. This presentation will focus on the artistic and technological innovations the production has developed for this highly-anticipated feature. 

Directed by Gil Kenan, in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

Chris Messineo, FX Supervisor, Sony Pictures Imageworks

Christopher Messineo is a seasoned effects supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks, most recently completing work on GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE.

With over a decade of experience working on both animated and live-action features, Messineo has honed his skills in collaboration with the talented creatives at Imageworks. His credits include: ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA, DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, the Academy Award®-nominated THE MITCHELLS VS. THE MACHINES, LUCKY 13, an episode of the Netflix animated anthology, LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS, and several SPIDER-MAN features including the Academy Award®-winning SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE. 

With a keen eye for detail and a propensity for pushing the boundaries of visual effects, Messineo and the team at Imageworks continue to leave an indelible mark on the cinematic landscape.
