In this workshop, Head of Business Development Gary Negus and Product Manager Jim Freeman will illustrate how harnessing the under-utilised compute distributed in datacenters around the globe can slash costs by up to 90% when rendering.
This in turn reduces the time to market and removes the excessive carbon impact of wasted resources.
Jim Freeman, Product Manager, Cudo Compute
Jim is a Product manager at Cudo Compute, building out an intuitive cloud platform that utilises spare and idle compute power around the globe and presenting it in an easy-to-use marketplace, with an additional focus on great developer experiences through APIs and CLI tools.
Previous to Cudo Compute, Jim has worked at a number of cloud management vendors and service providers in many different roles from Sales and Support to Engineering and Architecture.
Gary Negus, Business Development, Cudo Compute
Gary leads Business Development and Sales at Cudo Compute. He has extensive experience across the media & entertainment sector and has held senior roles supporting a number of high profile companies in this space including AWS (Amazon Web Services), Sohonet, Red Bee Media and Technicolor.
With a keen interest in how technology and process can be combined to improve business effectiveness, Gary brings a comprehensive perspective to solution building in the media sector having helped companies improve outcomes for themselves and their customers throughout the content lifecycle; from Production, Post, VFX and media services through to delivery using traditional playout and digital/streaming mechanisms.
