Frank Junghahn, Virtual Production Supervisor, LEDcave

Frank has been working as a media designer since 1993 and started his career as an Avid cutter, cameraman and Flame compositing artist.

He later discovered an increasing demand for skilled freelancers who can comprehend how to merge the intention of the customer with the technical possibilities.

Combining his technical expertise with his creative skills, he acquired the knowledge of the best media servers and controls, to fill the gap between client agencies and technical service providers.

True to his motto: "Stagnation is regression." Frank has always looked for new challenges and considered problems as the chance to constantly improve himself.

With this in mind, Frank completed several trainings as a KUKA robot programmer in order to drive forward the possibilities in show business.

Since the beginning of 2020 he has utilized the crisis together with the company Rent Event Tec to take the leap into the future and has launched the "Ledcave" project.

Thilo Strack, General Manager, LEDcave

Thilo has been working in the field of professional media technology since 1992 and, in addition to his studies in business administration, has gone through all stages of project management and realization of trade fairs, events and large-scale events, from technical set-up assistant to project manager.

In 2005 he founded the company Rent Event Tec and specialized in the rental of large screen systems. The possibility to realize large images by means of large image projections & stackable rear projection cubes was followed by the technology of cascadable image split walls. He recognized the advantages of LED video walls early on and founded the company LEDitgo Videowall Germany in 2012. LEDitgo with its unique LED groupbuying concept, allows customers and partners to access a large pool of LED walls from now on.

In a project in 2019 he and his team realized two 25x5 meter LED screens for the Netflix series Biohackers, that were used for driving shots of a train. LED screens vs. green screens on this scale were used for the first time in Europe in this project.

With the beginning of the Corana pandemic and the abrupt loss of his core business, he immediately used the freed up resources (production hall, LED material, know how and personnel) already in February 2020 and built the LEDcave Studio Mannheim. Further studios in Cologne and now also in Berlin followed.
