Heiko Burkardsmaier, VFX Executive Producer | Head of Business & Legal Affairs, Mackevision Medien Design GmbH

Heiko Burkardsmaier has long-standing expertise with visual effects and legal affairs. After finishing his law degree, he worked for several companies in the Media Industry as a legal counsel.  In 2008 he joined Pixomondo where he managed the Stuttgart branch and was responsible for legal affairs worldwide. In April 2013 he joined Mackevision as VFX Executive Producer and Head of Business & Legal Affairs where he is responsible for running the VFX Department of Mackevision. Heiko contributed to various award winning Feature and TV-projects such as Academy Award winning “Hugo” and Emmy Award winning HBO Series “Game of Thrones”. In 2014 Heiko’s team at Mackevision won an Emmy for Outstanding Special Visual Effects for Season 4 of HBO’s Game of Thrones. In 2018 his team was nominated for an Emmy for their work on “Lost in Space”. In 2020 and 2021 the Team was nominated for 3 Emmy’s for “Lost in Space, Season 2” ,HBO’s “Watchmen”, and HBO’s “The Nevers”.

Florian Gellinger, Co-Founder and Executive Producer, RISE | Visual Effects Studios

Florian Gellinger is one of the four founding members of RISE, an award winning German VFX and animation studio. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and was one of the driving forces in founding the German chapter of the Visual Effects Society. As VFX supervisor he was responsible for all RISE work on Captain America - Civil War and more recently Doctor Strange and Reminiscence. As Executive Producer he oversees all shows in production at RISE, most recently Avengers: Endgame, The King's Man, WandaVision, Loki and Hawkeye, Fantastic Beasts 3, Midnight Mass and Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch.

Urs Franzen, VFX Manager | DACH, Netflix

Urs Franzen has been working in the film and television industry since the early 1990’s.After years of editing and flame*-finishing commercials, on air promo and music videos he turned towards visual effects in scripted content.  He gained vast experiences as Compositing Artist, Visual Effects Supervisor and Stereoscopic Supervisor on shows like „Cargo”, „Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and „Transformers - Dark of The Moon”.

In 2011 Urs joined Pixomondo as VFX Supervisor and Executive Producer. In this role he contributed to „Star Trek - Into Darkness”, and to the 2012 Emmy Award winning HBO series „Game of Thrones, Season 2". After some years of freelance supervision of shows like „Ghosthunters”, „Elser” and „Jim Button and the Wild 13", he joined Netflix in 2019 as VFX Manager EMEA, overseeing the Visual Effects work on all German language films and series.
