Did you know that Zagreb has been one of the hubs of animation for over fifty years? Thanks to the famous Zagreb School of Animation, the World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb was established in 1972 and has been bringing the joys of the finest global animation ever since! Animafest Zagreb will take place for the 29th time from 3 to 8 June 2019 at numerous locations across the city. With over 400 films, symposium on contemporary animation studies, presentations, exhibitions, lectures and workshops, the festival will provide a comprehensive insight into contemporary animated production and celebrate its rich tradition. Hop on for a ride with Animacycle, an urban bike ride which will turn Zagreb into a colourful animation screen, dive into the world of virtual reality, take part in our Animafest PRO program and enjoy the best of short and feature animation from all over the world – see you in Zagreb!

Annecy International Animation Film Festival

Established for almost 60 years between lake and mountains, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival has rapidly become the largest event in the world dedicated to this genre of filmmaking. Now, every June, along with the International Animation Film Market (Mifa) that was added in 1985, the Festival, organized by CITIA, Image et industries créatives, gathers more than 11,000 participants, students, professionals and journalists. Over an entire week there are competition screenings, premiers, retrospectives, conferences, exhibitions, signings, workshops and other business meetings, all celebrating the creativity and diversity of styles and techniques.

London International Animation Festival
