Dave Gouge, Head of Marketing & Publicity, Weta Digital

Dave Gougé is the Head of Marketing & Publicity at Weta Digital. He manages the overall reputation of the studio, including company positioning and messaging as well as publicity, event and digital marketing strategy.  He helped established the NZ chapter of the Visual Effects Society and is an active member of its Board and serves on the conference Program Boards of FMX and  Animfx NZ. Dave is also an experienced speaker, interviewer and moderator. Prior to Weta Digital, Dave was the Film & Games Sr. Industry Marketing Manager for Autodesk. He continues to advise new and emerging players in the technology/mobile space on marketing and go-to-market strategy. Dave began his career in advertising, working at top firms like Young & Rubicam and Goodby Silverstein & Partners as well as smaller shops specialising in digital and integrated marketing.  With over 20 years of experience, Dave has a unique talent for building technology and entertainment brands.
