Philip Hunt, Partner, Director & Creative Director, Studio AKA

Philip Hunt is a Partner & Director, at STUDIO AKA – an animation studio based in London and known internationally for its idiosyncratic & innovative work, expressed across an eclectic range of projects .

A graduate of both Central Saint Martins & The Royal College of Art, Philip’s diverse body of work includes the multi-award winning short film AH POOK IS HERE - an interpretation of recordings by the late William S. Burroughs which is included in the Burroughs retrospective PORTS OF ENTRY, and the BAFTA winning children’s animated film entitled LOST AND FOUND – based on the book by OLIVER JEFFERSThe film has to date won 61 international film awards.

Aside from his Creative director duties at Studio aka which has seen him helming projects as diverse as films for BMW, KRADVAT & HERMAN MILLAR, Philip has recently been involved with creating projects for both the ONE & (RED) charities, along with the Cancer awareness campaign #feelingnuts.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, taking place in cooperation with the VES Visual Effects Society and ACM SIGGRAPH. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
