Jacques Bled, CEO, Illumination Mac Guff

Upon completion of his cinema and social studies, Jacques Bled co-founded Mac Guff Ligne in 1986, a digital visual effects design studio specializing in 3D animation and VFX for commercials and cinema ("Azur et Asmar", "Irréversible", "Un Prophète", "Welcome", "Kirikou 3…). In August 2011, Jacques Bled became CEO of Illumination Mac Guff, a new company created by Universal Pictures. The animation studio based in Paris produced "Despicable Me" (2010), "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" (2012) and "Despicable Me 2" (2013). "Minions" is currently in production for release in July 2015. Jacques was promoted "Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres" and was appointed President of the Technical Industries Commission within the CNC. He was also named « Personality of the year » for 2013 by readers of the magazine Le Film Français.

FMX is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the City of Stuttgart and MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg. taking place in cooperation with ACM Siggraph. FMX is an event by the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, organized by Animationsinstitut, hosting the Animation Production Days (APD), a joint venture with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).
